My Japan Tour photoset 10/? – Kyoto

  • 1. Gion, the geisha district. It was so hot that day that we coulnd’t stay outside for long so we ended up going in a mall that had anime/manga/games shops too (2. 3. 4.).
  • 5. Teppanyaki yakisoba. SO GOOD!!

My Japan Tour photoset 8/? – Kyoto

    Daitoku-ji

    Monastery.

My Japan Tour photoset 6/? –

Kyoto Pt.2

  • 1. 2. 3.
Nishi Honganji Temple Complex, the second biggest temple in the whole Japan.
  • 4. The Kyoto Station’s
    architecture

    is
    outstanding.

  • 5. Ramen with pork and egg (in my opinion meat plus egg is
    excessive

    but anyway it was good)

My Japan Tour photoset 5/? –

Kyoto

  1. Very peculiar praying spot on the way of the bamboo forest in Arashiyama.
  2. The bamboo forest.
  3. Temple in the bamboo forest.
  4. Lunch in Arashiyama: meat and rice, salad and miso soup.
  5. Particular of chopsticks in a very
    equipped shop always in
    Arashiyama.

My Japan Tour photoset 4/? –

Kanazawa

  1. The Kanazawa Castle next to
Kenrokuen Garden, the third most beautiful garden in Japan.
  2. Pariculars.
  3. In the
    Kenrokuen

Garden we repeatedly lost the direction and we ended
going around in circles for hours even though we had a map.

  4. Gyokusen-inmaru Garden next to
    Kanazawa Castle Park.

  5. Grilled squid and meatballs with vegetables bought in Omicho Market.

Kanazawa was a nice surprise for me, I really liked the atmosphere there. We also had the chance to find the Japanese
Oktoberfest
one night end the next day to listen to a few
Acapella groups involved in a large competition.

My Japan Tour photoset 3/? – Shirakawago

  • This Historic Village is
one of Japan’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This was an interesting trip and one of the things that impressed me the most was the fact that lots of typical houses were still inhabitated. Also the climbing we made to reach the panoramic view point was fun!

My Japan Tour photoset 2/? – Takayama

  1. Ceramics, one of the many remarkable things about Takayama. I would have loved to buy a few pieces, but everything was so expensive!
  2. The city is also famous for its summer festivals, but we arrived when everything was already ended, the majority of stores were closed and the city was empty. Nice timing.
  3. Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine

    entrance.

  4. Detail of
Daiohji Temple area, part of the
    Higashiyama Walking Course.
  5. Good stuff.
  6. The “Triple Pagoda“ in the
    Hida Kokubunji Temple.

If I’ll have the chance to visit Japan again I would totally go during spring or early in the summer when the festivals are still around and this city will be a required stop!

My Japan Tour photoset 1/? – Tokyo

  1. Tokyo Tower
  2. View from the Tokyo Tower
  3. Akihabara’s UDX
  4. Toranoana and Taito Station
  5. THE WELL-KNOWN STAIRS (because of road works in the whole area I couldn’t take pictures from the bottom of the street just from the top and I had to reach the Shrine from the side but then I walked down and up the stairs where walking was allowed)
  6. Kanda Myojin
  7. Particulars
  8. Pork ramen, rice, fried chicken and gyoza
